In the sixth part of Paradise Lost, Raphael continues telling the story of the war in Heaven. He describes the intense fight between the angels who stayed loyal to God, led by Michael and Gabriel, and the rebellious angels following Satan. God praises Abdiel, who had earlier stood against Satan, and welcomes him back among the faithful.

The two groups clash in a fierce battle, using powerful celestial weapons and showing incredible strength and agility. Satan, with his spear, defeats many angels, but Michael, armed with a divine sword, proves to be a strong opponent. After two days of intense fighting, God steps in and sends his Son, the Messiah, to deliver the final blow.

The Messiah's arrival drastically changes the course of the battle. With one powerful swing of his sword, he defeats Satan and scatters the rebel angels. The victorious angels return to Heaven, giving praise to God for their success. Raphael ends his story by highlighting the consequences of disobedience and stressing the importance of staying loyal to God.
